For the 30th anniversary of bürgi.com AG Urs gives a personal insight into his day-to-day work in our mini-interview. He explains what trust and quality mean to him in the security industry and why security goes far beyond pure technology.
What does trust in our industry mean to you in concrete terms?
Our customers trust that their security works reliably – in everyday life as well as in an emergency. They don’t just look to us for a product, but for a solution that protects people, buildings and assets. This trust is based on honest advice, clean work and systems that can be relied on at all times.
Why is security more than just technology?
Technology alone is not enough. Security also means the good feeling of being protected without having to think about it all the time. When a system works reliably in the background and you know that you will be alerted immediately in the event of an incident, real security is created. This is precisely the trust we want to give our customers.
What does quality mean in concrete terms in your field of work?
For me, quality means that a system fully meets the requirements and needs of the customer – reliably, user-friendly and in the long term. This includes clean planning, precise implementation and solutions that are also convincing in everyday use.
